CESPy.V (Center of Pyrotechnical ESsais
of Vonges) with Vonges is an entity attached to the service
studies of the factory of Vonges within Nobel Explosifs France (Group
SNPE).This center of tests or not carries out an important variety
of tests as well as specific work on pyrotechnical products:
Three types of activities are ensured by the center of tests:
Characterization of the civil explosives and realization
of tests of simulation, like the sensitivity to starting, determination
of the energy released by a product or rate detonation, tests of
simulation of shootings of mine, like desensitizing by hydrostatic
and/or dynamic compression.
Tests of Safety Pyrotechnics: realization of codified and
standardized tests referring to the European standards, to the standards
of UNO (handbook of test and criteria "Orange Book") and
of NATO, in particular for the Ammunition at the Attenuated Risks
(MURAT),
Provisions of services of all natures such as for example:
run and compression of explosives, tests of air and underwater overpressures,
measurements of heat flux, behaviors with the impacts, the flame,
fire, determination of the explosive character of various considered
products not pyrotechnics (for example tests of characterization
of the ammonitrates), like all tests particular to the request.
The Center of tests accredited COFRAC within the meaning
of the international standard ISO 17025 of 2005 ; concerning
the tests of detonability and oil retention on ammonitrates, these
tests are carried out according to payment (EC) 2003/2003 of 13/10/2003
relating to manures.
CESPyV is recommended by official organizations and various administrations
such as the French Customs is the first laboratory accredited in
Europe for these tests.
With a personnel qualified and broken with the pyrotechnics activities, the Center has average techniques important such as:
the analysis laboratory,
workshops "1/4 large" and "1/2 large",
many workshops and surfaces of tests,
a tunnel of shootings for tests of internal and ballistic
ballistics final,
the field of fire of 80 ha with a swimming pool and basins
of shootings, a casemate and many surfaces of tests and shootings,
a Cook surface Off and Cook Slow fox trot Off for special
tests of behaviour in temperature
Moreover, it works in partnership with the engineering departments
of SME
Environment and profits from the assistance of the teams
of SME/CRB
if that proves to be necessary.
CESPy.V counts many customers, initially of course Group
SNPE and in particular EMS-Environment, but also of the external
companies and organizations such as Technip, Autoliv, , Livbag,
Nobel Sport, the organization notified INERIS, the DGAC (Directorate-General
of the Civil aviation), etc...
